The Park is just one hour's drive from Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff, and is ideally situated for touring and the many places of interest nearby or walking the country lanes to enjoy the panoramic views that surround the park.

The historic town of Monmouth, with its renowned Nelson Museum, is five miles away, as is the market town of Ross-on-Wye.

The resoundingly beautiful Forest of Dean is within fifteen minutes drive of the Park and many happy hours can be spent trailing along the forest paths and cycle routes or picknicking at specially prepared areas.

Also within easy reach are Goodrich and Chepstow Castles, Tintern Abbey and the world famous Symonds Yat Rock with its seven counties view and the RSPB supervised viewpoint of the Peregrine Falcons.

The Park has its own Reception office, laundrette, public telephone and a large recreation area for ball games etc. Fishing, boating, golf, horse and mountain bike riding is available locally.
